Founded in 2008, the World Flair Association (WFA) is the global authority for flair bartending, uniting a community of over 20,000 members across 95 countries.
WFA’s mission is to connect, support, and elevate bartenders worldwide by creating a structured ecosystem where talent can grow—from foundational craft flair to the highest levels of extreme performance.
At the heart of WFA lies the World Flair Tour, a global competition circuit composed of four distinct event tiers: Grand Slam, Masters, Open, and Challenger. Each competition awards ranking points to participating bartenders, contributing to the official WFA World Ranking. These events vary in scale, production value, and prize money, with the Grand Slams standing as the most prestigious and sought-after titles in the sport.
Through the organisation and management of these international competitions, WFA provides a global stage for bartenders to showcase their skills, while maintaining the only official worldwide ranking system in flair bartending. A comprehensive global competition calendar ensures flair bartenders stay connected to events across all continents.
Beyond competitions, WFA serves as a central hub for education and inspiration. The platform offers tutorials, blog articles, interviews, and industry insights, with premium members gaining access to exclusive weekly content designed to continuously develop skills and knowledge.
A key pillar of WFA is its grading and training system, composed of six levels, which allows bartenders to achieve official certifications and diplomas. These can be obtained independently online or through affiliated local bartending schools, creating a standardized pathway for skill development. These certifications strengthen a bartender’s curriculum, elevate professional status, and provide globally recognized validation of their level.
