Result: Bottle Tin is King (#BTiK) 2019

So the next Roadhouse Flair Heat has come and gone and it was the one and only Bottle Tin is King (#BTiK). BTiK is always a popular event, mainly due to the differences it has to many other flair bartending competitions. With the bartender only allowed to use 2 objects at any one time, the whole playing field between the competitors is considerably flattened with the key to standing out coming down to the flair bartenders originality, creativity and showmanship more than anything else.

Often seen as an excellent stepping stone for flair bartenders who are starting out on the competitive scene, #BTiK provides a great opportunity for new flair bartenders to get on the Roadhouse stage. With only two marks given, one for flair and one for entertainment the whole format of #BTiK is simplified, allowing for a great show that all audience members can understand and follow regardless of their flair bartending knowledge.

The Top 3 from the Roadhouse Flair Heats get a place in the WFA Grand Slam the Roadhouse Grand Finals in November (as long as they have not already secured a place in a previous Roadhouse Heat). A number of new bartenders have joined the list, lets find out who those finalists will be as well as the big winner of BTiK 2019…

The Result

The £850 prize and a coveted glass Roadhouse Trophy for Bottle Tin is King 2019 went to Italian bartender, Riky Bin (@rikybin) – congratulations to Riky on his first ever Roadhouse win! Riky was closely followed in the final standings by last month’s Roadhouse Battle Comp winner, Sikky (@marianchmel) – with Jean-Marc Pothier (@jean-marcpothier) taking 3rd. As Sikky has already qualified for the Roadhouse Grand Finals, as have Oliver Deak and Bryan Levato, this means Jean-Marc Pothier and Remi (@remi) will be joining Riky Bin in claiming those highly sought after Roadhouse Grand Final spots.

What is next?

The next Roadhouse heat in June is our next stop on the World Open where we welcome the worlds bartenders to come and try and secure their spot in the Roadhouse Grand Finals in November. With those spots going fast, expect a big competition – last years BTiK winner Tony Mallin is a confirmed competitor, as are experienced flair bartenders Nico Valimaki, Ravi Camadoo and Marek Posluszny – all of which who are yet to secure their place.
