It’s Time for Ballie Ballerson World Flair 2023!
There are going to be 4 competitions this year, 3 of which being qualifiers (27th February,17th April, 4th September) for the Grand Final on the 13th November 2023.
The Top 6 from each Qualification Round will qualify for the Grand Finals and we will choose some wild cards as well to join in the Finals.
We have a new stipulation this year, which is: if you win any of the qualifiers you are not allowed to compete in any of the other qualifiers.
WFA GRAND SLAM
The WFA Grand Slam will be back up and running again this year, we are expecting a minimum of 6 competitions. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the leaderboard will receive WFA Gold, Silver and Bronze grades.

The Competition in Brief
– Briefing – 1pm – Ballie Ballerson, 97 – 113 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3BS
EVERYONE MUST be at the briefing. If you do not make it to the briefing you do not compete! No exceptions.
– Qualification Round – 3pm – 7pm
In this round every bartender will have 4 minutes to make 1 set cocktail (recipe in Competition Rules PDF) and open a can of Hooch and pour it into a glass (bonus points available for creative opening and pouring). The cocktail will NOT be tasted, but judges will check to see if you make the cocktail to the recipe. The scoring system will be the WFA scoring system.
– Final Round – 9pm – 10.30pm
Bartenders will have 5 minutes to make a minimum of 1 set cocktail (you can make more than one, if you like) and open a can of Hooch and pour it into a glass (bonus points available for creative opening and pouring). The cocktail will NOT be tasted, but judges will check to see if you make the cocktail to the recipe. This is no holds barred. We want to see your biggest and best moves.
