RWF: Asian Open

RWF: Asian Open

This month is the Asian Qualifiying round.  Open to ALL bartenders, but we shall see bartenders flying in from Asia to try and earn their spot in the November World Finals

The Roadhouse World Flair competition is the longest running competition in the world.  Held in the world famous Roadhouse bar in Covent Garden, London.  It is the comp that everyone wants to win.  In 2017 there will be 10 qualification rounds and one Grand Final in November.

PLEASE NOTE: Every month the competition is open to ANYONE around the world (except UK Finals, (August) and Chicks with Flicks (September) Grand Finals (November)).

Each month there is a different qualifier for different bartenders to have the best chance to qualify for the November Finals.  For example, any bartender from around the world can enter the Americas Open and win the prize money, but only the American based bartenders can earn a spot in the Grand Finals.  So if the top placing American based bartender comes in 10th position, they still earn the spot in the November Grand Finals

    1. Participation fee is £20 which is paid to Roadhouse on the day of the competition – I’ve booked a space for comp online. Is it enough or I must pay additional £20 on the place?
    2. Only water and coloured water will be used on stage with a few exceptions. – didn’t get this paragraph.
    3. Will be Stolichnaya vodka provided? If yes, what favors?
    4. If ODK is not provided, can i use MONIN instead of it?
    5. Can I see photo of Collins glass? I need it to be sure that in my country it is the same.
    6. What Lemonade I should use in Raspberrylicious cocktail? Can it be Sprite in its original glass bottle?

      Hi Alibek

      1. As it says in the point 1. “…£20 which is paid to Roadhouse on the day of the competition…”. So you must still pay the £20 to roadhouse when you arrive on the day of the competition please.

      2. In your bottles you can use water or coloured water. Some bottles of liqueur might have real alcohol. The drink will NOT be tasted.

      3. Roadhouse will supply some Stoli bottles. Mostly standard stoli. Again the drink will NOT be tasted, and only water will be in the bottles.

      4. ODK is provided. You can use monin bottles if you wish.

      5. You can bring your own glasses if you want. I don’t remember the exact brand, but it is very similar to this:

      6. Roadhouse will supply the lemonade.

      I hope that helps?

Ok. To continue my questions about the move. If i land the Stoli bottle on to the bar blade (without balancing it on the bottle edge on the arm) – will it be counted for a stall?
And about the Lemonade I want to clarify – will it be in the glass bottle or in the plastic bottle? If in the plastic – can i use Sprite?
I’m asking this because i wan’t to use my barblade to open glass bottle.
    Thank you in advance!

      Hi Alibek

      Sorry for the delay:

If i land the Stoli bottle on to the bar blade (without balancing it on the bottle edge on the arm) – will it be counted for a stall?
      YES

And about the Lemonade I want to clarify – will it be in the glass bottle or in the plastic bottle? If in the plastic – can i use Sprite?
It’s in a glass bottle supplied by Roadhouse. But you can use a sprite bottle if you want.

I’m asking this because i wan’t to use my barblade to open glass bottle.
      NO problem.

      I hope that helps mate.

Better to put the original contents in the original bottles please as a real bartender would. Otherwise please remove the labels and put tape to show the different contents.
