Have you got what it takes to win the #FABBRiFlip competition?

The Cambridge Cocktail Weekend (CCW) is fast approaching and with it the WFA Grand Slam at the CCW and the #FABBRiFlip! What is the #FABBRiFlip I hear you ask?

Put simply, there are two parts to the #FABBRiFlip competition. The first will take part online across our social media channels, the second will take place during the WFA Grand Slam at the CCW on the 24th/25th of August, this award for the #FABBRiFlip will be presented during normal prize giving after the end of the Grand Slam.

In the lead up to the weekend of the 24th of August however, we are asking for your best #FABBRiFlip. Please send your clips (no longer than 10 seconds) to social@worldflairassociation.com or post it directly on Instagram with the hashtag FABBRiFlip; we are looking for you to do something cool with a Fabbri branded product, the most inventive and creative will be branded the winner taking home free tickets to the Saturday of the CCW, a signed Fly Bottle from the winner of this years Grand Slam and free drinks at the WFA bar across the weekend. Not too shabby! The winner will be announced on the day before the CCW (Friday 24th August). Here’s the main man Tom to explain a little more:

Take a look at what people have done so far! #FABBRiFLIP

What is the CCW?

The Cambridge Cocktail Weekend is designed to celebrate the great cocktails and bars that Cambridge has to offer, alongside some of the global spirits superstars all showcased in one room. Last year the Corn Exchange was packed to the gills with bars and saw over 2,000 through the doors enjoying delicious cocktails, with plenty of partying and dancing until late to brilliant live bands and DJs.

This year, we’re back bigger and better with a three-day extravaganza, a fabulous festival of cocktails, with bars aplenty, plus the best in music and entertainment. There will be a range of fun activities like cocktail masterclasses and demonstrations, throughout the day too – many of which are free, after the cost of the cocktail. Most importantly though, there will be over 50 cocktails to choose from including premium spirit cocktails from just £5.

While all this is going on, the WFA CCW Grand Slam will be taking place on the main stage, in the main hall of the Cambridge Corn Exchange. A stunning and historical building, with a huge stage, the Cambridge Corn Exchange provides an unrivalled platform for the competing flair bartenders to strut their stuff and showcase the world of flair. With the vast majority of the audience being the general public, rather than flair bartending enthusiasts or bartenders, this also offers a great opportunity to introduce a lot of people to the fantastic world of flair bartending.

Expect to see some of the worlds biggest names in flair bartending competing, such as last year’s winner and our current World Champion – Marek Posluszny, Dennis Trifanovs and Ilona Turintseva. With £5000 in prize money up for grabs and awards for best female, best cocktail and best #FABBRiFlip – there is a lot to play for. With a huge stage and access to the Cambridge Corn Exchange’s lighting, sound and production – the WFA Grand Slam at the CCW is set to be quite the show. Details on the live stream to follow soon.
